Not everyone pictures themselves throwing an axe or shooting a semi-automatic crossbow at a wedding. Here's why they'll join in anyway...
"I've never done this before."
Neither has almost anyone, until their first go. Every session opens with a full safety brief and hands-on coaching from our team. You're guided the whole way through; no experience needed.
"I'm not the sporty type."
Good news — it's not about strength. Our activities are precision over power, and our coaches have first-timers having lots of fun within minutes, whatever shape or fitness level they're in.
"What about Nana, or the heels, or the dress?"
This is a wedding, not a stag do — we get it. Flat, closed-toe shoes are all we ask for throwing the Tomahawks (happy to advise ahead of time), and anyone can go at their own pace or simply watch and cheer instead. No pressure, ever.
"Is it safe with drinks flowing?"
Every session is fully supervised from start to finish, in controlled lanes with clear rules. It's exactly the kind of environment you'd want for a big group celebration.
"Some guests really won't want to throw."
Our Axessible Range is fully covered and weather-proof, giving a lower-key way to join in without full-on throwing — plus plenty of room for spectators with a drink in hand.
We chose Axes to Ashes for our wedding because we wanted something a little different, and they absolutely delivered! From the very beginning, Andy was friendly, helpful, and informative, guiding us through the planning process and clearly explaining how everything would work on the day. It made the whole experience feel smooth and stress-free. The axe throwing itself was a huge hit with our guests and added a really fun, unique touch to the day. We’re already planning to come back and try some more at his site as it turns out we both need a bit more practice!

How it works
Step 1 - We come to you
We bring the Axessible Range to your venue, anywhere in the UK.
Step 2 - A quick safety brief, then the activities
A relaxed, guided induction (about 10 minutes), then guests split into teams — classic setup is each side of the family going head-to-head.
Step 3 — Photos, laughter, repeat
While the two of you are off having your newlywed photos taken, your guests are already making memories of their own — so you come back to guests who are buzzing, not bored.

We wanted Axe throwing for our drinks reception, something a little different but definitely our style, Axes to Ashes did not disappoint. Communication was made very easy by Andy from the beginning, very reasonably priced, he even threw in some pumpkin targets as it was a themed wedding 🖤
Our guest absolutely loved it! Honestly couldn't get enough, amd even though it was a windy and wet day, it really did not matter as the structure kept you dry whilst throwing.
The kids loved having their own version, i would definitely recommend booking the kids throwing along side so they can have fun while the adults play.
From the service provided, communication, cost, and entertainment value, couldn't have asked for more 10 out of 10!
