Terms and Conditions for Axes to Ashes Activities

The 14-day cancellation exemption.

As our activities are leisure services provided on a specific date, the 14-day right to cancel under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 does not apply. Our cancellation policy below applies instead.

1a. Deposit Payment

A non-refundable deposit of 50% of the total activity cost is required to secure your booking. This deposit confirms your reservation and guarantees your spot for the scheduled activity.

1b. Deposit Payment (including Axe Imperium Ticket Purchase)

In an instance where 100% of the activity cost is paid to secure the booking; 50% of the total activity cost is non-refundable in the event of cancellation and is subject to our Cancellation Policy detailed in Point 3.

2. Balance Payment

The remaining balance of the total activity cost (total cost minus deposit payment) must be paid in full no later than 1 calendar month (30 days) before the scheduled activity date. Failure to make this payment on time may result in the cancellation of your booking, with the deposit retained as per our cancellation policy.

3. Cancellation Policy

i: Cancellations made within 30-22 days of the activity date:

You will be subject to a 50% non-refundable charge of the total activity cost. This amount will be retained by us, and the remaining 50% will be refunded.

ii: Cancellations made within 21-15 days of the activity date:

You will be subject to a 75% non-refundable charge of the total activity cost. This amount will be retained by us, and the remaining 25% will be refunded.

iii: Cancellations made within 14-8 days of the activity date:

You will be subject to an 85% non-refundable charge of the total activity cost. This amount will be retained by us, and the remaining 15% will be refunded.

iv: Cancellations made within 7 days (or less) of the activity date:

No refunds will be provided for cancellations made within 1 week of the scheduled activity date. 100% of the total activity cost will be retained.

4. Rescheduling

If you wish to reschedule your activity, we will do our best to accommodate your request, subject to availability. Please note that rescheduling within 1 calendar month of the activity date may incur additional charges.

5. Non-Attendance

In the event that you do not attend the scheduled activity without prior notification, no refund will be provided, and the full payment will be retained.

6. Payment Methods

We accept payments via bank transfer and via our online booking system. All payments must be made in Pounds Sterling (£) unless otherwise agreed in writing.

7. Force Majeure

In the event of unforeseen circumstances beyond our control (e.g., severe weather conditions, natural disasters), we reserve the right to cancel or reschedule the activity. We will offer a full refund or the option to reschedule without any additional charges.

8. Right to refuse participation

Axes to Ashes reserves the right to refuse anyone we judge unfit to take part in any or all of our activities, with no refund. Our judgement may be due to our belief someone is intoxicated through drink, drugs or acting irresponsibly. Participants must follow all instructions given by our instructors at all times. Failure to do so may result in exclusion from the activity without refund.

9. Age restrictions

With the exception of our "Axelings Range" (plastic equipment) and our Bushcraft Activities, all participants must be at least 10 years of age or older. Any persons aged between 10 and 17 must be accompanied by a RESPONSIBLE PERSON over the age of 18 and in a fit capacity to be responsible for the minor(s) participating; who must counter-sign the Activities Waiver document.

10. Clothing and jewelry

All participants in our activities must wear closed-toe shoes without high-heels. For ranged activities such as archery or crossbow, participants must not wear any clothing or jewelry that could become entangled or caught by the string (chains, earrings, etc.). Participants may be asked to remove or make safe any items the instructor deems necessary.

11. Safety Brief and Demo

Before any activities commence, participants will be expected to attend a safety brief and a demonstration. Failure to attend the Safety Brief and Demo may delay or forfeit your right to take part in any or all of the activities without refund.

12. Damage to Equipment

Neglect or willful damage of any of Axes to Ashes equipment, property or vehicles may result in additional charges to repair or replace as necessary. In the event of Criminal Damage, Legal Action will be taken plus costs to pursue the case will also be charged.

13. Photography, Videography and Social Media

The Axe Imperium is under continual CCTV coverage for crime prevention and safety which is not publicly accessible.
At our events and activities, photography and videography may be conducted to record set-ups, attendance and participation. Any media recorded may be used on Social Media to promote or demonstrate our services to others. Any footage captured with minors present will not be used without the consent of their Parent or Legal Guardian. If you do not wish for photos or videos to be taken at your event or activity please inform the activity instructor prior to (or during) the activity.

14. Final Numbers and Dietary Requirements

For events with pre-booked food, final guest numbers and any dietary requirements must be confirmed no later than 14 days before your activity date. Numbers may be increased after this date subject to availability, but cannot be reduced. Charges are based on the confirmed number.

15. No outside alcohol.

Food may be brought in by arrangement. No alcohol may be brought onto the premises — all alcohol must be purchased from our bar.

16. Medical conditions and pregnancy.

Participants must inform an instructor before taking part of any medical condition, injury or pregnancy that may affect their ability to participate safely. We reserve the right to refuse participation on safety grounds.

17. Acceptance of Terms

By making a booking with Axes to Ashes, you agree to these terms and conditions in full, including our safety, participation and cancellation policies.
