Here at Axes to Ashes we want to create opportunity for ALL of our guests.

Accessibility and Inclusivity

Everyone deserves a go at hitting the bullseye. We've built Axe Imperium so as many people as possible can throw with us, and we're always happy to adapt.

Getting here

There's flat on-street parking on King Street. Our entrance is on Empress Street, which is a sloped road. Wheelchair users have visited us without any problems, but if you'd like help on arrival, let us know and we'll meet you outside.

Accessible lanes

Lane 5 is our dedicated accessible lane. It has an L-shaped bench so friends and family can sit alongside a wheelchair user and be part of the action. Every one of our lanes can be used by disabled guests, and our crossbow lanes work just as well seated.

Accessible toilets

Our newly built accessible toilet facilities include ramp access.

Adapted throwing

We'll tailor the experience to the person. For a blind guest, we fixed balloons to the target so every hit came with a satisfying pop. If you have an idea that would help, we'd love to hear it.

Assistance dogs

Assistance dogs are always welcome. We'll find them a comfortable spot safely away from the throwing area, with water on hand.

Carers and support workers

Carers and support workers are welcome to come along free of charge. If they'd like to throw as well, the standard price applies.

Toilets

We have a disabled toilet, wheelchair accessible sink and hand dryer, support bars and single action door lock.

Dedicated Wheelchair Lane

Any of our lanes can be used by wheelchair users. Lane 5 has a dedicated "L-shaped" bench so that able-bodied guests can sit alongside a wheelchair user.
